LONMAT UV meets the U. S. Department of Defense specification MIL-DTL-15562G, TYPE I for flooring covering products that protect workers from high voltage exposure, and features a high gloss, factory-applied urethane finish. LONMAT XL is unfinished and meets MIL-DTL-15562G, TYPE II. Both types of switchboard matting are often used on ship decking and around electrified equipment where maintenance and operational work occurs, and is known for its water-tight integrity with heat-welded seams.
